Meet MOCAheart: The New Way to Track Your Heart Health

In 2013, we began looking for an answer to a question we often ask ourselves and the people we love: How do we make it easier to care for our heart health and for each other?

Today on World Heart Day, we’re thrilled to share with you our answer by introducing MOCAheart, the new way to track and share your heart health – quickly, conveniently, and effectively.

Using a “press and go” technique, MOCAheart’s optical sensor combines thumb scans with sophisticated algorithms that measure blood flow and velocity to determine heart rate and blood oxygen levels, as well as an easy-to-understand indicator of overall cardiovascular health called the MOCA INDEX. MOCA INDEX is a qualitative measurement of blood flow that is correlated to blood pressure. While systolic and diastolic figures can be hard to understand or remember, the MOCA INDEX is a simple 1-5 scale that provides you and your loved ones with an instant snapshot of your cardiovascular health.

The MOCAheart app enables you to view your heart health insights over time, track your progress, and easily text and share health status updates with your loved ones or personal healthcare provider.

With the device and its app, we aim to help combat the issues relating to heart disease which, according to the CDC, is responsible for 1 in 4 deaths in America. We’re excited to have combined our love for health, technology, design, and care to bring you MOCAheart.

We are grateful to our investors, Kickstarter backers, and others who have given us the support we needed as we developed our device and app, cultivated our talented team, and prepared for this very moment. We’re at the beginning of a new journey in making personal healthcare an easy, intuitive, and reliable experience, and we can’t wait to enhance the connection between you, your health, and your loved ones.

Happy World Heart Day!

When and where I can buy your device? Will it work for people with irregular heart rate?

      Hi Phillip,

You can purchase our device from

It will work fine for people with irregular heart rate. However, please note that MOCAheart does not show EKG so you will not see irregularities in your heart. Rather, it will measure your heart rate, SpO2 and your MOCA Index (blood velocity as correlated to blood pressure).

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions.
